Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the GRASP website at grasp-web-chi.vercel.app (the “Site”), operated by CodeTonight (Pty) Ltd (“we”, “us”). By accessing the Site you agree to these Terms.
1. About the Site
The Site is a demonstration and marketing platform for GRASP (Governed Reasoning And Signable Provenance), a framework for cryptographic AI provenance developed by CodeTonight (Pty) Ltd. The Site and its interactive tools are provided for evaluation and informational purposes only.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to use the Site. The Site is not directed at or intended for children under 18.
3. Intellectual property
All content on the Site — including text, design, graphics, and interactive demonstrations — is copyright © 2026 CodeTonight (Pty) Ltd, all rights reserved.
The GRASP software and specifications are made available under the GNU Affero General Public Licence version 3 (AGPL-3.0). These Terms do not limit or restrict any rights you have under that licence in respect of the software; this clause governs only the Site as a published work.
4. Permitted use
You may browse the Site, run the interactive demonstrations in your browser, and submit a whitepaper request using the request form. You may not:
- reverse-engineer, scrape, or mirror the Site in a manner that is harmful or that misrepresents its content;
- impersonate CodeTonight (Pty) Ltd or represent that you are affiliated with us; or
- use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
5. Demonstrations and no advice
The Site includes interactive cryptographic demonstrations (cite.verify and break-the-chain). These run entirely in your browser using throwaway test keys generated on the page. They are not production systems. We make no representation that the demonstrations reflect the performance of any production deployment.
Nothing on the Site is or constitutes legal, financial, insurance, professional, or investment advice. GRASP is a technology framework, not an insurance or financial product; any structural analogy to insurance or assurance used on the Site is a metaphor to aid understanding only, and should not be understood as a representation that GRASP is or provides an insurance or financial product of any kind.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including (without limitation) warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CodeTonight (Pty) Ltd and its directors, employees, agents, and contractors shall have no liability whatsoever to you for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive, arising from your use of or inability to use the Site.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for: death or personal injury caused by negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; gross negligence or wilful misconduct; or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. These carve-outs are non-removable and take precedence over any other provision of these Terms.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CodeTonight (Pty) Ltd and its directors, employees, agents, and contractors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Site.
9. Links and third-party content
The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. Linking does not constitute an endorsement.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The version number and effective date above will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
